Repousse by Kirk dates back to 1828 making this pattern a timeless heirloom to use while entertaining. It is a French word that literally means “pushed back”. Repousse is an intricate detail and ornamental design in sterling silver. The workmanship is done by a technique that consists of the hammering and shaping of malleable metal on the reverse side by hand. The multitude of flowers adorning this pattern makes it easy to blend with other patterns.
