Back in the late 19th century and into the early 20th, it was not uncommon for a table setting to incorporate the use of open salt cellars as well as spoons. Each article would be placed at the individual table setting.

A very attractive set of 4 Tiffany and Company American Sterling Silver Square Salt Cellars having a hand hammered design and set on four ball feet. A square shape provides a more contemporary, structured look as compared to the traditional circular or more elaborate styles. They have gilt interiors which protects the silver from tarnishing caused by salt. This is a practical and necessary feature that adds to any salt cellar.

Our set of 4 Tiffany and Company Sterling Silver Salt Cellars are fully hallmarked including the maker’s stamp, pattern number 3207, order number 73468 and director’s letter M ( 1873 – 1891). They are in pristine condition and would be a welcome addition to any home.
