An elegant Antique Victorian Silver Plate Sauce Ladle that is decorated in the ‘Old English’ pattern. It is quite plain in style with a rounded terminal and a single drop to the reverse of the bowl. This was the most commonly produced pattern during the last 30 years of the 18th century before being superseded by the Fiddle pattern, in the early 19th century. However its production continued throughout the 19th and 20th centuries and is now one of the most sought after patterns.
This is a simple Antique Victorian Silver Plate Sauce Ladle which is ideal for serving sauces, cream and gravy. It is a classic piece of flatware which would add grace and style to either a modern or traditional table setting. This sauce ladle would look lovely as an addition to the table whether it is used for a main course or a dessert.
