Antique American Silver Fish Slice

The Fish Slice is a broad blade or trowel shaped server, most often used for dividing and serving fish at the table. The earliest examples of fish slices were made about 1735.

We are thrilled to have recently acquired this elegant Antique American Tiffany and Company Silver Fish Slice in the ‘Palm’ pattern. The serving utensil has a wide flat bowl and a very simple detailed handle making it quite elegant. This pattern was designed by Edward C. Moore, who was the firm’s chief silver designer at this time. This pattern was introduced in the year 1871. The fish slice is in excellent condition with very clear and crisp detail. As this piece is quite simple and elegant in design, it would complement any type of table setting.
