Old Sheffield Plate Salver

Sold
  • Sheffield, circa 1820
  • Dimensions: 12 inches in length, 9 1/4 inches in width

A handsome Old Sheffield Salver which is quite rare because of its oblong shape. Most salvers at this time were round shaped. This Old Sheffield Salver has a shaped gadroon border and there is a crest in the center of the piece. It is a wonderful size as it can easily hold a decanter or wine bottle and several glasses.
