Fish sets were first introduced during the 19th century. During the Victorian era in England, they became quite popular because of the increase in wealth of the middle class. Extravagant silverware which was always popular with the upper class could now be purchased by this new affluent class. Over the years, fish sets have been produced with either silver, ivory or mother of pearl handles and in various designs. This very handsome Antique Victorian Plated 24 piece Fish Set consists of 12 forks and 12 knives and has engraved bladed and tines. The handles of the forks are decorated with a pretty pattern of bead work and the forks have 4 prongs. This lovely Antique Victorian Plated 24 Piece Fish Set would look exquisite on any table setting today.
