The “Metropolis” pattern, one of Tiffany’s most popular glass patterns, was often used for their bowls. While Tiffany glass from the early 20th century is most often known for its Art Nouveau style, the “Metropolis” pattern is more of a contemporary/Art Deco design. Made in the late 20th century, the pattern features a cut crystal design with vertical and/or diagonal lines, creating a geometric look.
An elegant pair of Tiffany and Company square shape “Metropolis” Bowls. They can be both decorative and functional and thus, be used in a variety of ways. Having an elegant design, tapered body and being a small size, they can hold small portions of food like peanuts or pretzels as well as candy. Additionally, bowls such as these can be a decorative accent piece, adding a touch of sophistication to any space. The bowl’s clear crystal construction makes them suitable for any decorative style.
