20th Century Clear Glass Tiffany Finger Bowl

$250.00
  • Murano, circa 1990
  • Dimensions: 2 1/8 inches high, 5 inches diameter

In the late 19th century, a finger bowl would be presented to dinner guests just prior to the dessert being served. One would rinse their fingers before leaving the table. In a less formal setting, the ginger bowl may be presented after any course and may even be used after more than one course at a single meal.

Our Tiffany Glass Finger Bowl was constructed in the late 20th century with extraordinary care, often using crystal, stone, and glass. Whether you are looking for an older or more contemporary Tiffany bowl, they were always made of the highest caliber.

Even though the use of finger bowls is not a wildly practiced custom today, they still add an elegant touch to a formal dinner party. For alternative uses in modern times, we have found they make great serving dishes for sauces, condiments, or little pick up snacks like pretzels and peanuts.
