Antique English Glass Hyacinth Vase

$425.00
  • England, circa 1840
  • Dimensions: 7 3/4 inches height

Antique hyacinth vases have been produced for over 300 years, with production starting around 1700. Early hyacinth vases were often hand-blown, with variations in shape and color reflecting regional styles and individual techniques. Hyacinth vases became essentially popular in the mid to late 19th century. The range of distinct antique hyacinth vases – often made from glass – can elevate any home.

Our Antique English Glass Dark Teal Hyacinth Vase is in the tall churn shape. Dating from the 1820’s this design is quite narrow and slender. It does have a contemporary feeling but so often these beauties have a rough pontil on the base giving away their age and rarity (like this one does).

These tall churn shape hyacinth vases are of a classic design and are quite popular!
