Antique English Silver Bowl

Sold
  • London, 1915 by Crichton Brothers
  • Dimensions: 4 inches in height, 9 inches in circumference, 11 inches from handle to handle

An exquisite Antique English Silver early 20th century Bowl. While bowls have been produced for thousands of years, most of them are round shaped. It is nice to be able to find a handsome octagonal shaped bowl like this. Included on this lovely bowl, is a wonderful crest as well as two handles. The intricate workmanship on the two handles consists of lion’s heads. This Antique English Silver Bowl is made by Crichton Brothers, who were pre-eminent silversmiths specializing in fine quality copies of old silversmiths’ work. A piece such as this would look lovely on a side table.
