Bing & Grondahl Porcelain Figurine

Sold
  • Denmark, circa 1950
  • Dimensions: 7 inches tall

A lovely example of a mid 20th century Danish Bing & Grondahl Porcelain Figurine. It features a pair of children residing on a round base. The older child, a girl, has her arm around the younger child who is a boy. They are looking upwards and the girl is pointing to something in the air – perhaps looking at the sky, a taller person or a thing? She seems very protective of him and wants to make sure he sees what she is pointing out. The typical colors that the company are known for are apparent in the clothing and appearance of the children – blue, white, gray and beige. Over the years, Bing & Grondahl produced lovely work and will always have a following.
