Antique American Silver Christening Mug

This handsome American Silver Christening Mug, made by Tiffany and Company, is straight sided and has a side loop handle. It is quite elegant in design with its 3 reeded bands which resonate throughout the body. These three reeded bands have monograms inscribed on them and one of the bands has a date, 1861. The hallmarks are located on the base and the mug is in excellent condition. This attractive American Silver Christening Mug would look elegant on a desk holding pens or pencils. Of course, one could always put it out for decoration.
