Antique English Waste Bowl

$450.00
  • England, circa 1810
  • Dimensions: 3 1/4 inches high, 6 1/4 inch diameter

A waste or slop bowl (as it would have been called at that time) is part of a traditional tea set. It was used for emptying out the cold tea and remaining tea leaves before refilling the cup. This lovely Antique English Waste Bowl is decorated with small pink roses and green leaves in gilt diamond shaped squares on an orange background. Gilt borders surround this design on both sides. The Antique English Waste Bowl has a lovely color combination which is set on a white background and is in pristine condition.
