The Art Nouveau style originated from the Arts and Crafts movement, which began about 1880. This style was popular from 1895 to 1910 and is known for its organic, flowing lines and asymmetrical shapes. Art Nouveau designs often feature natural elements like flowers, plants, and animals.

An exquisite pair of Art Nouveau American Sterling Silver Salad Servers in the ‘Orchid’ pattern. Patented in 1903, this pattern was created at the height of the Art Nouveau movement in the United States. Each handle is beautifully designed with a detailed, raised orchid flower. The leaves of the flower flow down each handle creating a wonderful design. The bowl of the spoon is scalloped and the tines of the fork have a decorative cut.

Our pair of Sterling Silver Salad Servers can be used for serving a variety of other foods besides salad. Some suggestions include large pasta dishes, grilled vegetables and roasted meats.
