Pair of Continental Silver Napkin Rings

$425.00 for pair
  • Europe, circa 1940
  • Dimensions: 1 3/8 inches height, 2 inches diameter

Continental silver refers to any European silver that does not conform to the English sterling standard of purity. 800 silver is therefore sometimes referred to as continental silver. The number 800 refers to the level of purity and it means that your silver item is 80% silver and 20% alloy. This differentiates it from 925 fineness, sterling silver, which has long been the American and English standard.

Our pair of Continental Silver Napkin Rings are quite attractive in design. They feature lovely beaded rims at the base and top and also have an unengraved scroll cartouche. This can be rectified and personalized by adding a monogram to the scroll cartouche. Napkin Rings can make lovely gifts for any occasion.
