Dalmatians are distinguished by the black or brown spots on their white coats. Their demeanor is self-possessed and alert, and they have an intelligent as well as curious expression. Dalmatians gained a great deal of popularity in the 1990’s especially after the re-release of the movie “101 Dalmatians” in 1985.
