Depicted on the plates are 4 different scenes in wonderful vibrant tones of places in the world – one on each plate. The 4 places are Linlithgow Palace in Scotland, Bay of Naples in Southern Italy, Ruins of Caesarea in Israel and Marathon which is a town in Greece. Linlithgow Palace which is the birthplace of both Mary Queen of Scotland and King James V, is superbly featured in soft muted shades. Overlooking the city of Naples, Italy is a scenic view that is quite special and is featured exquisitely on this plate. On a gorgeous day, the Ruins of Caesarea are beautifully situated on a cliff overlooking a bay of water. The scenic view in Marathon is painted so exquisitely that one feels like you are actually there looking out at the river.

Each plate features a scalloped shaped gilt border with a wonderful bouquet of flowers. Pinks, reds, yellows, whites and light blues are illustrated in wonderful and vibrant floral tones.
