For anyone who likes to travel, learn about history and see breathtaking sights around the world, these superb and rare Set of 4 Antique English Dessert Plates are for you. In all the years that we have been in business, we have never seen a set like this. Depicted on the plates are 4 different scenes in wonderful vibrant tones of places in the world – one on each plate. The 4 places are Linlithgow Palace in Scotland, Bay of Naples in Southern Italy, Ruins of Caesarea in Israel and Marathon which is a town in Greece. Linlithgow Palace which is the birthplace of both Mary Queen of Scotland and King James V, is superbly featured in soft muted shades. Overlooking the city of Naples, Italy is a scenic view that is quite special and is featured exquisitely on this plate. On a gorgeous day, the Ruins of Caesarea are beautifully situated on a cliff overlooking a bay of water. The scenic view in Marathon is painted so exquisitely that one feels like you are actually there looking out at the river.

Each plate features a scalloped shaped gilt border with a wonderful bouquet of flowers. Pinks, reds, yellows, whites and light blues are illustrated in wonderful and vibrant floral tones. With each plate having a different floral color combination, this set is quite appealing as well as unique. This Set of 4 Antique English 19th century Dessert Plates are in pristine condition, quite special and for you history buffs, this set is for you!!
