The “Lily” pattern refers to a specific, highly collectible and ornate flatware pattern by Whiting. This pattern is known for its elegance as well as an opulence design featuring lily motifs and other floral elements. The “Lily” pattern is often associated with the Gilded Age and it was at this time, that it was the most popular.

An exquisite pair of American Art Nouveau 2 Piece Sterling Silver Salad Set in the “Lily” pattern that was produced circa 1905. This wonderful detail work features a beautifully embossed floral design in high relief on both sides of the handle and the stem. Both pieces have an unusual scalloped design as well.

Our 2 Piece American Sterling Silver Salad Set is marked with the Whiting trademark stamp and “Sterling”. This set was made by the Whiting Manufacturing Company established in 1866 and reintroduced by Gorham in 1924.
