American Silver Cake Breaker

Sold
  • Baltimore circa 1940
  • Dimensions: 10 1/2 inches in length

A Cake Breaker is a wonderful serving piece and every household is not complete without one. This cake breaker has a sterling silver handle with a silver plate extended tines. These long tines are used to break into a cake prior to the cake being actually sliced and served. This dates back to a time when no dinner table was complete without a lettuce fork, asparagus tongs, and a cake breaker.

We are pleased to have this American Silver Cake Breaker in our inventory at this time. We think it would make a wonderful addition to your table as well as a great gift.
