American Sterling Silver Cake Breaker

$225.00
  • American, circa 1940
  • Dimensions: 10 1/4 inches length

Cake Breakers are wonderful serving pieces and every household is not complete without one. The long silver plate tines are used to break into a cake prior to the cake being actually sliced and served.

We have done a great deal of research on this piece and we believe it is a standalone piece – this serving piece is not part of a particular pattern. However, our vintage American Sterling Silver Cake Breaker is quite stylish in design and complements the Gorham ‘Chantilly’ pattern quite nicely. The intricate design on our cake breaker is embellished with carved borders along the silver handle.
