  • England, circa 1820
  • Dimensions: 14 1/4 inches from handle to handle, 8 3/4 inches wide, 5 1/2 inches tall

A highly decorative and colorful Antique 19th century English Centerpiece that is truly spectacular. This piece is quite appealing with its intricate white and gilt base design extending up through the underside with its vibrant colors and culminating in the colorful bowl. Flowers in orange and yellow as well as green leaves are a welcome contrast to the bright cobalt blue which is used freely in this piece. Gilding accentuates the scalloped border as well as the two handles and the base. To help show the pictorial design, a blue/gray color is used. With the design and bright colors, this piece can stand on its own as a centerpiece but also can be used to hold fruits such as apples, pears etc. With its colors, shape and design, this piece can be quite attractive to many people.
