The Coalport Porcelain Company was established in Coalport, Shropshire, England in 1795. It gained recognition and notoriety for its high-quality and beautifully crafted porcelain pieces in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Coalport porcelain is highly regarded for its fine craftsmanship, delicate designs, and rich and vibrant colors.

Known for its diverse range of designs which came about over time to reflect the different artistic styles and trends over the years, are what made Coalport porcelain so popular and always in demand. Some notable and famous Coalport patterns and styles include the Imari-inspired Japan patterns, the botanical-inspired Regency period designs, and the later Victorian era patterns which featured intricate floral motifs and romantic scenes.

A superb Antique English Coalport Porcelain Centerpiece of navette (pointed at both ends with equally curved sides) form. It has a wonderful Chinoiserie design with vibrant tones of apricot, orange, and gilt flowers with leaves that are in various shades of green and teal. With a cobalt blue tree and limbs, this design and colors are set on a white background.
