Antique Victorian Plate Asparagus Tongs

$325.00
  • Birmingham, circa 1880 by Elkington and Company
  • Dimensions: 8 3/4 inches length

Asparagus Tongs are a specialized utensil designed for serving many types of vegetables and of course, asparagus. They typically feature long, slender handles with blades at the ends. Asparagus Tongs are designed to gently grip the cooked asparagus (or any other item) allowing for easy transfer from serving dish to the plate.

An elegant pair of Antique Victorian Plate Asparagus Tongs. They are designed in a wonderful classical style having pierced blades. There is a lovely crest that is situated opposite the hallmarks which is another nice feature of this piece.
