English Box

$350.00
  • England, circa 1900
  • Dimensions: 5 inches length, 1 3/8 inches height

Antique boxes as decorative objects have come in many forms over the years. Whether used for holding trinkets, papers, coins or other objects, boxes come in all sizes and shapes. No matter what they are made of or what their use is, decorative boxes add both style and charm to any place where they reside.

Our early 20th century English Box features Women of the Regency period. There is wonderful detail work that resonates throughout the piece. A scroll design displayed in black is so vibrant against the background of the piece as well as the drawing of the women, the dog and the landscape offers a wonderful scene. Made of wood with red paper lining, this piece has aged quite beautifully over the years.
