Pair of Antique Chinese Export Famille Rose Plates

$1,850.00 for the pair
  • China, circa 1760
  • Dimensions: 8 7/8 inches diameter

A wonderful pair of 18th century Chinese Famille Rose Plates. Decorated in a floral motif with insects featured around the border. It is not common to find insects on this type of porcelain and therefore these may only have been for the nobility and the literati. The colors are very vibrant and are predominantly orange, pink, blue, gilt and green for the leaves. The insects stand alone between masses of floral decoration. The lovely 18th century Chinese Famille Rose Plates are an example of wonderful workmanship. There has been some minor repairs to the edges.
