Highly sought after as decorative accents for any fine interior, Antique Chinese Export Porcelain Altar Fruit are extremely collectable. These were produced in the late 19th century/early 20th century and were used as offerings at temples in the Chinese culture. When the fruits were out of season, they used ceramic ones such as these as an alternative. Traditionally, they used peaches, squash, melons, grapefruits, citrons, oranges, and figs as well as their blossoms.

A rare Antique Chinese Export Porcelain Peach Form Altar Fruit. Realistically modelled, enameled, and hand painted, this Peach Form Altar Fruit has vibrant enamel tone colors. It is in wonderful condition, very difficult to find and currently very collectable.
