A dish is an open, relatively shallow container which can be made from a multitude of materials such as glass, pottery, metal, wood or silver. The style, appearance and cost of a silver dish, often matched the economic and social conditions of the time. The function of dishes had many varied uses over the years but originally was for holding food.

Cartier is a well known brand throughout the world. They are not only famous for their exceptional jewelry, but also for their extensive collection of silver.

Our beautiful Vintage American Sterling Silver Cartier Small Dish is exquisite. It features a lovely fluted design that is quite prevalent throughout the piece. On the back of our dish, there is the maker’s mark Cartier and is also stamped ‘Sterling’.
