Antique Chinese Rose Mandarin Creamer

Sold
  • China, circa 1840
  • Dimensions: Height - 3 1/2 inches, Base - 2 1/2 inches, From end of handle to end of spout - 6 1/2 inches

A lovely antique 19th century Chinese Rose Mandarin Creamer. Wonderful figural scenes of various courtyard conversations are viewed by a woman sitting at her window as she is looking out. The inside rim of the creamer is decorated with peonies, daisies, birds and insects as well as green leaves. The pouring section is called a snout and the gilt handle is shaped as a lovely swirl. This is truly a charming example of a Rose Mandarin object.
